The Cleveland Browns could have their hands full Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals but they have the blueprints to beating them if they stick to them

With this week’s news that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be released, it seems like a lifetime ago that Cleveland lost to rivals Pittsburgh Steelers in a grueling game that left the team questioning where they were as a group this season.

Now the Browns have to get ready to play the Cincinnati Bengals, the new darling of the AFC north division. The Bengals stand at 5-3, one game better than the 4-4 Browns.

Last week the Bengals lost to a lesser opponent in the New York Jets 34-31 who racked up over 500 yards of offense. So even though the Bengals are looking better overall this season they still have had their lapses and have looked beatable. The Browns also have the advantage of winning five of the last six games against Cincinnati dating back to the 2018 season.

So with that and Cleveland knowing that this game is critical in their chances at reaching the postseason I give you a blueprint to the good guys in orange and brown defeating the Bengals on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns blueprint to victory: Run Run Run

The Browns only ran the ball 20 times between their running backs Nick Chubb and D’Ernest Johnson a week ago in their home loss to the Steelers. The team still leads the NFL with a 161 yards per game average. They also lead the league in yards per carry at 5.16 and actual rushing attempts with 250.

So, the fact that the Browns went away from the run in a game that was very low scoring and at home is really pretty alarming and a bad decision by the coaching staff.

The Bengals are pretty tough against the run this season but Cleveland has usually run well against them over the last couple of years. In the Browns’ first win last year against them they ran over 200 yards in their first matchup.

Currently, Chubb stands fourth in the league rushing as he has 584 yards despite him missing two games this year. He is the heart and soul of the team so feed him the ball on Sunday.
