Cleveland Browns Question Needing Answered No. 3 – Does Kevin Stefanski have control of the locker room?

Let me be clear, I still think Kevin Stefanski is the best coach the Cleveland Browns have had since their return in 1999. However, this situation with Odell Beckham is not easy for anyone to handle, and making sure he has full control of the locker room moving forward is a necessity.

Not only is OBJ a superstar name that players loved and respected, but his best friend, Jarvis Landry is still currently on the roster. The NFL is a business, and the right decision was made for both sides, but it’s difficult to keep emotions out of things.

The Browns playing lights out last week was a great sign that Stefanski kept this team pointed in the right direction, but he can’t let his foot off the gas. Cleveland has the Patriots this week and the Detroit Lions the following week, both winnable games that can get the Browns back to 7-4 and in contention for an AFC North title.

Stefanski must set the tone that there isn’t room for selfish behavior in the locker room and needs to almost format the “us against the world” mentality. I know it’s cliché, but maybe playing the role of the underdog is exactly what this team needs.
