The Cleveland Browns extended both Wyatt Teller and Joel Bitonio but there are more players who deserve extensions now, including these three

Tuesday and Wednesday were fun days for the Cleveland Browns starting guards.

On Tuesday, right guard Wyatt Teller was rewarded for his hard work with a four-year extension. Not to be outdone, left guard Joel Bitonio agreed to a three-year deal as the team stated their goal was to keep him in Cleveland until it was time for him to be fitted for a gold jacket.

With those moves out of the way, general manager Andrew Berry can now focus on a few other players who need to be extended. Here we look at three such players they should start negotiating with.

Cleveland Browns player to extend No. 3: Jadeveon Clowney

After failing to land Jadeveon Clowney in 2020, the Browns convinced him to come aboard in 2021 and so far, he has not disappointed. While Clowney has still struggled some with durability, he’s been much healthier this season than in previous years.

Missing just one game thus far, Clowney has 19 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and a total of 20 quarterback pressures in eight games according to Pro Football Reference.

Some will say his sack total is an issue but as a starter opposite Myles Garrett, he has more than done his job in that department, and that’s without even mentioning how well he sets the edge in the run game.

Clowney was a former No. 1 overall pick for a reason and since he has been able to play at a high level, it would make sense to see what it might take to get him to extend his stay a couple more years.
