The Cleveland Browns still have a lot to play for, but looking back, Andrew Berry may regret not trading these three guys before the deadline.

I hate to go negative on everyone, but after Sunday’s performance vs. the New England Patriots, I’m extremely worried this season for the Cleveland Browns could quickly fall down the drain.

I know they still have four divisional games left and truthfully control their own destiny, but do we really think this team is functional enough to win another five games this season? I’m afraid there is too much dysfunction.

Just two weeks ago, Odell Beckham’s father posted a YouTube clip showing each time his son was open and Bakery Mayfield didn’t throw to him. That ended up in a trade demand, which later ended in OBJ’s release from the team — although he now claims that was never his intention. If you believe that, we have some beachfront property in Arizona we need to discuss.

For the last eight weeks, Mayfield has been nursing an injured shoulder. No one really knows how serious the injury is, but every time he gets hit fans hold their breath. His performances have once again been extremely inconsistent, and now many are questioning if he’s worth the extension.

Last but not least, this defense that was built to be a top-five unit in the league has completely underperformed.  Myles Garrett has played well, and that is about it. The rookies Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Greg Newsome have shown some promise, but as a unit, they just can’t get off the field.

I know for some it’s way too early to throw in the towel, but Andrew Berry may look back on this season with a ton of regret. The Cleveland Browns should have moved on from these three players before the deadline, and now are locked into contracts for the rest of the season.
