No. 3 – Cleveland Browns LB Mack Wilson

Before I get on the train of bashing Mack Wilson, that guy left everything on the field Sunday. In a game where I felt a ton of guys quit, Wilson played until the very end. However, as great of a quality as that may be, the Browns just need to move on.

A split from Wilson would be the best thing for both parties at this point. Wilson appears to feel like he is underappreciated, and the Browns continue to put him on the field in bad situations. The team only spent a sixth-round pick on him, and it feels like Berry easily could have gotten that in return before the deadline.

Before the knee injury last season, I was still high on Wilson. He played a little too fast for his own good, but he had a high motor and played with a lot of emotion which can be contagious to others.

Now, he has just become a problem on the field. He’s constantly getting upfield in the run game and taking himself out of plays, and he has also lost a step when it comes to moving side to side in the passing game.

This is a scenario where a guy could really benefit from a fresh start. I don’t think Wilson is ever going to be a pro-bowler, but he could start at WILL for a team in the NFL. Since I don’t see him making it to the 2022 roster, I wish Berry would have found him a suitor before the deadline.
