The Cleveland Browns seem to have a problem communicating with one another and continue to use the media to get their point across

There’s a real problem in Berea – and it’s not just the recent loss for the Cleveland Browns.

While their 45-7 defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots was rough, it’s what’s happened since then that seems more concerning as the team just seems to have an issue communicating with one another.

The first example came when Myles Garrett decided a post-game press conference was the right time to discuss coaching and a lack of adjustment. Then, Jarvis Landry said at a recent charity event that he has no clue why he’s not getting the ball more, which makes it seem as though he’s not getting great communication from his coaches.

Now, another example surfaced as rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah just said he was apparently on a snap count this past weekend, even though he wasn’t aware of it.

Apparently, he also didn’t talk to Joe Woods but the defensive coordinator did respond. Just not to JOK. Instead, he also spoke with the media and said he was pulling the rookie when he struggled.

What’s most frustrating about this media back and forth is the fact that it was a major issue for years under Hue Jackson and seemed to be a thing of the past with Kevin Stefanski (although to his credit, he’s the only one who responded by saying he would keep the conversations in-house).

Of course, it may have been easier to stay quiet and not voice frustrations in 2020 since the team was winning. This year, however, there have been a lot of ups and downs and it seems to have caused problems with the communication and overall morale within the team.

Cleveland does have a chance to get back to their winning ways as they face the Lions this weekend. Hopefully, a win there can lead to the team feeling back to themselves and communicating with one another the way they should.

But if not, this could become an issue because a house divided is never a good thing.
