Every member of the Cleveland Browns is key to beating the Detroit Lions, but three will really be key in order to secure a victory.

This Sunday, the Cleveland Browns desperately need a win against the winless Lions to further strengthen their playoff chances. Right now, the team sits at 5-5, well below expectations from themselves and their fan base. Winning cures all in the NFL.

While the record is not what anyone had anticipated, they are still in the thick of things in terms of the postseason. The division-leading Ravens have six wins. Almost every team in the playoff as of right now has five wins, with the exception of the Patriots, who have six.

So playoffs aren’t out of the question unless you ask some on the bird app. With that said, Cleveland has a lot of things to figure out to try and stack some wins and reach the playoffs for a second consecutive year.

That starts on Sunday when the Browns host the Lions from FirstEnergy Stadium.

Cleveland Browns Key player No. 3: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

For the last three weeks, the Browns have sorely missed JOK on the defensive side of the football. Sure, they had a great performance against the Bengals, but it hasn’t all been roses and sunshine.

Owusu-Koramoah was on the IR with an ankle injury.

Last week the Browns got smoked 45-7 by Mac Jones and the Patriots. JOK returned but only was on the field for 21 snaps, recording four tackles.

JOK assumed he was on a pitch count on Sunday, which he said he wasn’t aware of, but seemed like it.

This is just another questionable decision by defensive coordinator Joe Woods. The Browns have given up points by the bunches in losses and can’t ever get off the field on third down. Something has to give soon, right?

Where is the communication? How does a player not know when they will be used in a game prior to said game? Make it make sense!

But with JOK back and likely seeing a full workload as long as his ankle holds up, he will add that explosive element he brought to this defense. He is a guy who can rush the passer or play in coverage.
