Baker Mayfield once again calls out doubting Browns fans
By Greg Newland
Baker Mayfield put Cleveland Browns fans on blast once again, should we expect another heroic performance in Baltimore after calling out doubters?
It was an ugly win on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns, but in the NFL, a win is a win. I was at the game on Sunday and even I’ll admit, there wasn’t a lot to be excited about, but it was a classic trap game before the Browns biggest game of the season.
A winless Lions team coming to Cleveland the week before Thanksgiving and a Sunday night prime time game at Baltimore, we can’t be shocked we didn’t see the team’s best.
However, we saw far from perfect from Baker Mayfield who had two horrible interceptions that ultimately almost handed the Lions a game in which they should have never had a chance.
The very predictable cycle has started again. Mayfield plays a bad game and calls out all doubters in a press conference.
In his Wednesday meeting with reporters, he reminded everyone that the team has a winning record, yet everyone wants to throw them in the trash.
I appreciate his fight but excuse our fans for not being excited about a 13-10 win at home vs. one of the worst teams in the NFL. I completely agree, the Cleveland Browns have every single opportunity ahead of them, but why should we feel confident Sunday Night is going to go any better?
Baker, please continue the cycle and play the game of your life on Sunday Night. This win could completely change the season, and we will need the best performance of the season to come away with a win.
Fans – should things go our way this weekend, make sure to call out Baker after a crappy bye week so we can get him at his best again the following week.
