The Cleveland Browns need help at receiver and they land a stud as Garrett Wilson slides to them in the first round of this Browns mock draft

Entering Week 12, it’s easy to see the Cleveland Browns have a few holes on their roster that they need to address — which is why we have another seven-round Browns mock draft in the chamber.

Cleveland is in need of help on both sides of the ball, but even though they have had some issues this year, it’s not as dire as it may seem. General manager Andrew Berry has done a good job building depth and this mock just looks to put a few more playmakers with early picks while also continuing to build that depth at the bottom of the roster with the later selections.

And the good news is, one of the better players at a huge position of need is available for them in this simulation, which is courtesy of The Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine.

Browns mock draft Round 1 pick: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Entering the season, the Browns really felt good about their wide receivers — but maybe they shouldn’t have. Odell Beckham was coming off a torn ACL and still had no rapport with Baker Mayfield. Jarvis Landry has been a solid slot receiver but injuries were slowing him down at the end of the season and that kept up this year.

There was also Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones but Higgins has taken a big step back and DPJ is dealing with problems in the health department as well. With all that being said, there’s a real likelihood that Andrew Berry begins the process of overhauling that room in 2022.

That’s the direction we go with the first pick in this draft as Garrett Wilson somehow slides to them. Should this happen, the Browns need to sprint to the podium and welcome the Ohio State star with open arms.

Wilson has 939 yards and 11 touchdowns on 60 receptions this season and can make a huge difference in Cleveland’s offense with his ability to win at all three levels.
