Browns mock draft Round 2 pick: Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE, Penn State

With Myles Garrett on one side and Jadeveon Clowney on the other, the Browns defensive line has had two strong defensive ends this season — with Garrett playing like an NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Clowney, who might not be as explosive as Garrett, has also done his job even if the stats aren’t jumping off the page. However, he’s also only on a one-year deal meaning he could very well be gone in 2022. If he is, then defensive end becomes a major need in the draft.

This leads to the selection of Arnold Ebiketie from Penn State. A transfer from Temple, Ebiketie moved to the Big Ten and has put together his best season to date. In 11 games, he has 58 tackles, 17 for a loss, and 9.5 sacks. Put him across from Garrett and this would be a great duo for years to come.

Browns mock draft Round 3 pick: Tykee Smith, S, Georgia

John Johnson III and Grant Delpit could still be the starters of the future at safety but this season, neither has been what we expected. It’s not a problem for only them as Ronnie Harrison has also had his struggles.

That’s why the Browns add Tykee Smith with their Round 3 pick. He’s a little undersized but is great in coverage which is something they can really use on the back end of the secondary.
