The Cleveland Browns will certainly be looking to upgrade the roster after a disappointing 2021 season. Here are three moves that could work.

There is no need to beat a dead horse, but the Cleveland Browns have been major disappointments in 2021. And while I’m extremely hopeful they can still save the season with a strong close, it’s hard to have confidence that this team is going to figure things out.

The biggest problem right now, the offense. Baker Mayfield is banged up, the offensive line is struggling to protect him, and the receivers are having issues beating tight man coverage. It feels like the recipe to beat the Browns is easy right now. Stack the box against the run and play man-to-man coverage every single play.

The defense has played better as of late, but still not at the level we expected.  It feels like they are on fire for first and second down, but then completely collapse on third down no matter the distance to go for a first.

There are a lot of fingers being pointed right now by fans, and truthfully, none of that is going to help.  But internally, Andrew Berry needs to get this mess figured out quickly. This team is in a delicate state right now and it could all unravel very quickly

It feels as if the injury to Mayfield, drama from Odell Beckham, and tough schedule to close the season will just be too much to overcome.

I don’t want to wash away 2021, but I am starting to move forward to 2022 and the new faces that could be in Cleveland. These three players may be opportunities for the Cleveland Browns to improve next season.
