Treylon Burks Projected: 1st Round

Arkansas wideout Treylon Burks was a receiver who might have fallen a bit in recent weeks, but after an incredible season and a high-profile performance against the Alabama Crimson Tide, he will likely be shooting back up draft boards. He is a star in the making, and he now has just about everyone’s attention.

At 6-foot-3, 232-pounds, Treylon Burks is a remarkably powerful wide receiver. He sheds tackles, powers through hits, and makes difficult, physical, and contested catches. This isn’t to say that he’s just a possession receiver though, he still has the speed and route-running prowess to get separation, plus his willingness to go into contact helps win penalties against the opposition.

He brings the same sort of physicality fans have come to expect from Jarvis Landry, but with (ideally) far more healthy years ahead of him – as well as much more speed down the field which is something this offense desperately needs.

Burks is likely gone by the end of the first round as well, but seeing as the Browns likely have a mid-first round selection anyway. If they continue to struggle into the final run of their schedule they could have their pick of any of these three receivers. And any of them would really help the offense improve in 2022.
