The Cleveland Browns offense has been struggling this season thanks in large part to a lack of explosive talent at receiver, which is addressed in this seven-round 2022 mock draft

Heading into Week 14, the biggest issue for the Cleveland Browns is easy to see. Not everyone wants to admit it — but it’s plain as day if you just watch their games closely.

While all the attention is on the quarterback and his lingering injuries, the bigger problem in Cleveland is their wide receiver’s inability to gain any separation. This isn’t meant to absolve Baker Mayfield of any of his struggles, but he would benefit from the wideouts being able to gain some separation.

With that being said, our latest 2022 NFL Mock Draft is focused heavily on fixing this major problem for Cleveland.

Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Round 1: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

With their first pick, the Browns address the wideout spot by grabbing one of the more explosive wideouts in this class. Jameson Williams, who was at Ohio State but transferred to Alabama so he could see the field, blew up in 2021.

Williams had 1,445 yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 21.3 yards per reception. Cleveland could use that kind of explosion on offense and he should be an instant impact player.

Even more importantly, he’s able to create separation from man coverage and while also showing the skill to win at all three levels. As if that wasn’t enough, he stands in at 6-foot-2, which would also give the Browns more height at receiver, which is another major need.
