Myles Garrett now has 15 sacks in a single season, which is a record for the Cleveland Browns. And this one ended with an exclamation point.

Setting a franchise record is cool. Doing so and adding your first-career touchdown is even better.

That’s what happened with Myles Garrett who set the Cleveland Browns team record for sacks in a single season when he recorded his 15th of the year when he took down Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley.

As if that wasn’t enough, Garrett also forced a fumble, recovered it, and ran it back 15-yards for a touchdown.

Garrett has been flirting with the record for years, including a 2018 campaign where he had 13.5. He also had 12 in 2020 but was slowed down due to COVID, meaning he had to wait until 2021 to go after Reggie Camp’s record once again.

After getting No. 14 in Week 12, he had to wait until Week 14 following the team’s bye to break the record. He did so in the first half when he was able to get the Ravens No. 2 quarterback on the ground.

Huntley is in the game now as Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury when Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah wrapped him up as he was throwing a pass.

Cleveland Browns dominating at home

Garrett’s touchdown put Cleveland up 24-3 and they’re now leading 24-6 as they enter halftime. It’s a huge advantage for them as they look to not only get revenge for the loss to Baltimore in Week 12 but they’re also hoping to get back into the AFC North race.

Should they hold on and win, the Browns will be 7-6 whereas the Ravens will fall to 8-5. With four games to play anything can happen, especially if this opens the floodgates for a team that has struggled to score points as of late.

Garrett also deserves some praise for stepping up. He had some choice words for the team before the game, saying he wanted to see more attention to detail and it appears his teammates have responded.
