After a 24-3 lead at the half, the Cleveland Browns failed to show up in the second half. Even though they couldn’t score, they found a way to win.

The Cleveland Browns faced an undermanned Baltimore Ravens team on Sunday, but they still got the job done. In a situation where the Browns had to win to save their season, they got the job done.

Cleveland’s defense gave up some yards to Tyler Huntley in the second half, the offense had a few horrible series, but a win is a win and I’m choosing to not dig into the statistics too much.

With a 24-3 lead at the half, the offense certainly stalled in the second half but had just enough gas to get the 24-22 victory. Chase McLaughlin missed a 41-yard field goal that would have made it a three-score game, but the defense was successful at stopping a Ravens two-point conversion that would have made it a 7-point game early in the fourth quarter.

The game was way closer than it ever should have been after giving up a late onside kick, but the Browns now find themselves at 7-6, with a winnable game vs. the Las Vegas Raiders at home next Saturday afternoon.  If the team can get to 8-6, the playoffs are certainly back in the equations.

Below are the studs and duds from Sunday’s divisional win vs. the Ravens.

Cleveland Browns Dud No. 2 – Chase McLaughlin

The guy who started out as the MVP early in the season has become questionable at best. Not only did Chase McLaughlin miss a crucial 41-yarder in the game on Sunday, but he has also missed four kicks in the last five weeks.

With the late run by the Ravens, the field goal would have made this game over much sooner than it was.
