Cleveland Browns Blueprint No. 3: Remember what you’re playing for

This may sound cheesy, but I think the Cleveland Browns can use the “man down” mentality to their advantage. David Njoku at least seems to be of this mindset.

It’s more than just a tweet though as this is a situation the locker room can use to rally together and become a better team.

For one, it’s going to be easy for the Raiders to start looking ahead to a divisional game vs. the Denver Broncos the following week. It will be easy for them to chalk up their seventh victory and quickly look forward to getting to 8-7.

On the flip side, the Browns need to use this opportunity to focus and practice like they haven’t all season. They may have some guys forced to play with less talent, but hard work can beat talent, especially in a one-week sample.

With four games remaining and the AFC so loaded with talent, this is a game the Browns must win if they want a chance to repeat making the playoffs. There just isn’t a scenario where the Browns have a real chance if this one slips away.

And while it sounds obvious to remember that the playoffs are on the line, even through zoom, you can expect Stefanski to continue to pound that into the player’s brain.  And you can bet that these backup players want to win one for the guys who weren’t able to play.
