Cleveland Browns rival: Baltimore Ravens

The Browns chances to win the AFC North Division remain high, especially after the Ravens lost to the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon 31-30. Baltimore is falling back to earth and now stands at 8-6 on the year.

Their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, remained sidelined in the game against the Packers. The hotly contested game between the Packers and the Ravens went down to the wire and they lost when they tried winning the game on a 2-point conversion after closing the gap to 31-30. That attempt failed and it’s put their season in jeopardy.

The Ravens had benefited this season with a few very lucky opportunities late in games but now the tides are turning as they have lost a couple of games late.

Baltimore now has to go to Cincinnati next Sunday and try an upend the Bengals to take back the divisional lead. Both teams will enter the game at 8-6. The Bengals crushed the Ravens back in late October 41-17 and will look to close out the Ravens once again. The Ravens are currently 1-3 against divisional foes. All this is good for the Browns and their chances at the divisional crown. Cleveland is currently 2-2 in the division.

After the Bengals game, the Ravens will host the Los Angeles Rams on a Sunday tilt on January 2. They then host the Steelers on January 9. The Ravens also lost to the Steelers two weeks ago so that game isn’t a gimme for the Ravens.

If Baltimore loses two of their next three games that would have their record at 9-8. If the Browns end up at 9-8 too, they will likely win the tiebreaker to win the division because they would have the better divisional record.
