The Cleveland Browns might not have been playing to the best of their abilities in 2021 but they will still send five players to the Pro Bowl

While they might fall short of their main goal, the Cleveland Browns have still shown plenty of flashes this season. They have talented players, which is why a 7-7 record at this point has been frustrating for players and fans.

For proof that there are players capable of pulling out plenty of wins, Cleveland found themselves one of the more well-represented teams when Pro Bowl rosters were announced on Wednesday.

Five members of the 2021 Browns were named to the roster including both guards — Wyatt Teller and Joel Bitonio — who were just given massive extensions this season. Below is the list of all five Cleveland Pro Bowlers:

Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl players

Nick Chubb, Running Back
Joel Bitonio, Guard
Wyatt Teller, Guard
Myles Garrett, Defensive End
Denzel Ward, Cornerback

The five players puts them behind only the Chiefs and Ravens who each will send six players.

Not one of the players who made the list is a shocker. Teller has been one of the best guards in the league since becoming a starter last season whereas Bitonio — who is the longest-tenured player on Cleveland’s roster — has been a consummate pro since joining the team in 2014. He’s also making it to the ALl-Star game for the fourth season in a row.

Nick Chubb, who missed two games this season already has 1,017 yards while averaging 5.4 per attempt. He continues to be the main catalyst for this offense.

On defense, Myles Garrett is having a Defensive Player of the Year-caliber season with a franchise record of 15 sacks. Denzel Ward has also been playing tremendous football with 36 tackles, three picks, one defensive touchdown, and a half-sack. Most importantly, he has remained relatively healthy with only one missed game — and as long as he plays against Green Bay, it will mark 14 games which would be the most he’s suited up for since joining the team in 2018.

While fans would surely prefer a trip to the Super Bowl — which would mean no one from the orange and brown suited up in the Pro Bowl — it’s still always nice to see these guys noticed for their hard work.
