Cleveland Browns mock draft: Garrett Wilson brings his talent up North
Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Round 2: Myjai Sanders, EDGE, Cincinnati
Myles Garrett could certainly use another dominant force across the line from him, as we saw this season with Jadeveon Clowney. However, Clowney is a free agent in 2021 and Takk McKinley just suffered a torn Achilles tendon so there is a chance the Browns do not have either one of those players back in Cleveland next year. Therefore Myjai Sanders along with another veteran pass-rusher could be a dominant duo.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and 258-pounds, Sanders offers all of the physical traits to be a great player in the NFL. He also provides great reach which makes it easier to bring down ball carriers. In a draft with several edge-rushers expected to be off the board extremely early, Sanders may be one of the odd guys out and fall right into the Browns’ hands in the second round.
Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Round 3: Tyler Smith, IOL, Tulsa
With a mixture of injuries and COVID-19, the offensive line seems like it has been a revolving door this season. Chris Hubbard, who the Browns lost due to injury at the beginning of the season, is set to be a free agent in 2021.
Hubbard was the Browns’ plug-and-play type guy and now Cleveland has already made multiple changes at the right tackle position after Jack Conklin was seriously injured.
Smith is 6-foot-6 and weighs 333 pounds. His pure size would be a good fit for the Browns offensive line but his ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line would interest Andrew Berry. With a little work from veteran line coach Bill Callahan, Smith could develop into a pretty good lineman in Cleveland.
Cleveland Browns Mock Draft Round 4: Quay Walker, LB, Georgia
The Browns linebacker corps has been one of the most interesting groups on the roster. Before this season, the Browns were in desperate need of a sideline-to-sideline backer with amazing speed. In the second round of the draft in 2020, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was selected by Cleveland and he has been amazing for the Browns. Adding Georgia’s linebacker Quay Walker to this room would add an additional piece to a room that is almost ready to bloom.
Walker is a part of the best defense in college football which in and of itself would be a huge plus for the Browns. Walker always seems to be involved when he is in on defense and flies to the ball. He stands at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds and plays primarily inside linebacker, a spot where the Browns could be in need of after the 2021 season.
