Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (81) makes a leaping catch in the redzone in the first quarter of the NFL Week 13 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021. The Chargers led 24-13 at halftime.

Cleveland Browns WR target: Chris Godwin

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver is playing in his fifth season and is getting paid just south of $16 million this season as he was franchise tagged by the Bucs. He’s a free agent in the offseason. He will demand a huge paycheck for next year.

Would a team like the Browns be willing to partake in the battle for Goodwin’s services if he looks for a new team? He’s had a very good career and has produced consistently. This year, he caught 98 passes for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns. Is he worth the high price tag?

Cleveland Browns WR target: Mike Williams

The former Clemson Tiger has had a very solid career with the Los Angeles Chargers. This season was one of his best as he caught 67 passes including eight touchdowns and went for 1,027 yards. He had his best game against the Browns this past year as we went for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Williams has a very high price tag as well if the Browns were to pursue his services. He was paid $15.68 million this past season.

Cleveland Browns WR target: Allen Robinson

Another expensive wide receiver that will be on the free-agent market will be Allen Robinson. The Chicago Bears receiver started his career back in 2014 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s costing the Bears almost $18 million this year.

He’s having a very poor season overall, one of the worst of his career. He’s only caught 36 catches for 388 yards and one touchdown. Bears fans are past wanting him on the team any longer with his lethargic efforts. It’s surprising because he had a fabulous season in 2020 where he caught 102 passes for 1,250 yards. Again, he’s another wide receiver that would cost the Browns a lot if they would pursue him.

Let’s look at a couple of less expensive players that will be on the market.
