Cleveland Browns Accomplishment No. 1 – Upgrade the wide receiver room

You’ve likely seen it a few times now, but one of the biggest changes for the Cleveland Browns roster will be at the wide receiver position in 2022. Familiar faces like Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins will likely no longer be around, and Mayfield will have some fresh new talent to throw to.

This position has been the weakest all year (maybe being quarterback because of injuries), and Berry must fix it. We saw it last offseason when he piled up talent on the defense, he knows exactly what needs to be done.

Don’t be shocked to see him go after a huge name in free agency. Guys like Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin, or Will Fuller won’t be out of the question. Another name I really like is Michael Gallup, but an ACL tear may make that one a little tougher.

Not only will Berry be aggressive in free agency, but you’ll also likely see him use his first-round pick of the 2022 draft on a wide receiver as well. You could easily land a guy like Jameson Williams or Garrett Wilson who would both be great additions.

The bottom line, this group needs a few guys who can get open in tight coverage. Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens want to play suffocating man-to-man coverage, and the Browns need a receiver who can get open.

In these ten seconds, Donovan Peoples-Jones is the only receiver on the roster I think is 100 percent certain to be around in 2022.
