5 kickers that should be on the Cleveland Browns radar
Cleveland Browns kicker option No. 1: Younghoe Koo
If it were up to me, I would do everything I could to land Younghoe Koo. I feel the guy could be a big-time kicker for the Browns, something that they definitely need, especially if they can get the offense figured out and are in a lot of close games.
The 27-year old Seoul, South Korea native has been pretty good through the first 44 games of his career. Koo signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern. In four games before being waived, Koo connected on three-of-six field goals and all nine of his extra-point attempts.
In January of 2019, he went to the Alliance of American Football league where he was a perfect 14-of-14 before the league ceased operations. He had a workout with the Bears before signing to the Patriots practice squad, only to be cut 11 days later. Koo signed with the Falcons two weeks later and has been with them ever since.
In 2021 with Atlanta, Koo was tremendous, booting 27-of-29 balls through the uprights and ranked third in the NFL with his 93 percent on field goals. He was a perfect 30-for-30 on his extra-point attempts. For his career, he has made 90 out of 100 field goals and 87 out of 91 extra points.
Younghoe Koo is an accurate kicker with a strong leg and Andrew Berry would be extremely wise to bring him in and have him taking over the reins as the kicker of the Cleveland Browns for hopefully years to come.
