The Cleveland Browns will have pick no. 13 in the 2022 NFL Draft. Here are three positions they should consider upgrading with the pick.

The Cleveland Browns will once again be picking in the top half of the 2022 NFL Draft. After a disappointing 8-9 season and a third-place finish in the AFC North, Andrew Berry and crew have a lot of work ahead of them.

Berry was extremely busy in free agency last offseason, but now with a few big deals on the roster, it will be harder and harder to build via free agency. Myles Garrett, Wyatt Teller, Joel Bitonio, and Nick Chubb are all locked down on large deals, with Denzel Ward looming.

The Browns will have a good amount of cap space in the 2022 offseason, but you must remember that the money goes quickly when you start talking big deals. If you sign David Njoku, Jadeveon Clowney, and extend Ward, you are looking easily at $60 million-plus in just one year.

So, not only will the Browns likely be active in free agency, but you will also see a few veteran guys get cut loose early to turn the roster over with younger talent.

This is a pivotal part of building a dynasty. I use that term very loosely, but to stay competitive long-term in the NFL, you must build your roster via the draft. It takes having at least six or seven rookie contracts on your starting roster to be able to stay successful for the long run.

Luckily for Berry, he was fantastic in 2021. Guys like Greg Newsome and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah look like they could be all-pro caliber players for many years to come.

This roster has talent but also has some holes.  Here are three positions that could be upgraded with the Browns’ first-round pick in 2022.
