Expect the Cleveland Browns and Andrew Berry to be aggressive this offseason. However, they can’t forget about some guys that were on the team last year.

While there are still four franchises still excited about the 2021 season, the Cleveland Browns and 27 other teams have all moved into 2022 offseason mode. That means teams are now preparing for the draft, evaluating extensions, and evaluating free agents.

Things are no different for the Browns and Andrew Berry. This team is full of talent, but for some reason, it struggled to flourish as it did at times in 2020. The organization sunk a lot of money into the defense in the last offseason via the draft and free agency, and you could see the tides turn this offseason.

The Browns offense was disrupted at every single level this year. Baker Mayfield suffered an injury in week two and fought through pain all year. Jedrick Wills, Wyatt Teller, Jack Conklin, and many other backup offensive linemen missed starts and the group gave up a ton of pressure all year.

Kareem Hunt missed a huge chunk of the season, and Nick Chubb also missed multiple games which never allowed consistency in the run game. Last but not least, the wide receiver room was a mess. Odell Beckham forced his release right after the trade deadline, Jarvis Landry had multiple injuries, and no one seemed to be able to catch the ball when Mayfield finally got it to them.

The offense was a mess, but the defense struggled at times as well. It doesn’t matter how the roster looks on paper, it matters how they perform. While Berry will be busy trying to draft well and find outside free agents to come to Cleveland, the team already has multiple guys that will be imperative to bring back.

Here are three guys that were on the roster in 2021 that need to be brought back.
