Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku on Jets radar?
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know including a look at one team that could be targeting David Njoku in free agency
With the offseason here for the Cleveland Browns, we are all looking ahead to what moves they could make to bolster their roster in 2022. Other teams are doing the same thing and that could lead to some talented free agents leaving Berea.
One name that could be on the move if the right opportunity comes along is David Njoku. The fifth-year tight end is clearly the best at his position on the field for the Browns and he could be a target for the New York Jets.
Lacking weapons on offense, New York could use a tight end such as Njoku who can run past linebackers and win contested passes. Hopefully, the Browns can keep him but his attractiveness to other teams could make it hard to do so.
That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Why the Jets Should Sign David Njoku in Free Agency — Daniel Kelly, Jets Country
"His per-catch-average specifically shows he has effectively been able to stretch the field either with his hands or with his speed picking up yardage after the catch.Adding such a player into the mix in New York could only help quarterback Zach Wilson who does best throwing shorter passes."
For whatever reason, the Browns have been hesitant to throw the ball to Njoku more. He’s a very talented player and they want him back but the truth remains that he could get more targets elsehwere. He shouldn’t, but it’s highly likely.

3 Worst Moves The Cleveland Browns Made In 2021 — Rocco Nuosci, Browns Nation
"1. Playing Baker Mayfield All YearIt’s clear now that Baker Mayfield should not have been playing all season.Wednesday, Baker finally received surgery to repair his torn labrum he suffered early in the season."
This one is hard to disagree with. Baker Mayfield deserves all the praise for being tough but the team needed to step in and sit him. He clearly wasn’t himself and did himself and the team no favors in playing through the pain. Other poor moves included not getting something in return for OBJ, and the decision to punt late against the Raiders — a play that still haunts many fans.

"“Baker Mayfield to the Minnesota Vikings and Kirk Cousins to the Cleveland Browns”"
Scataglia says this is a move that could be good for both sides as the Vikings could get younger whereas the Browns could get a player who does know the system.
