Cleveland Browns Free-agent option no. 2 – Harold Landry, LB/EDGE, Tennessee Titans

With the Tennessee Titans being eliminated, their focus now shifts towards the 2022 season and how to get further in the playoffs. One of the key pieces of their defense, linebacker and pass rusher Harold Landry, is set to be a free agent, and they must decide whether to let him test the free-agent market or resign him to an extension.

Should they opt for the latter, the Cleveland Browns should without a doubt be players in the running for Landry. In his four NFL seasons, Landry has tallied 31 sacks and has started every game for the Titans the last three seasons. He finished this season with his highest tackle total, tackles for loss, and quarterback hits, and also hit double-digit sacks (12) for the first time in his career.

With Landry being such a big part of the Titans defense the last few seasons, it may seem unlikely for him to become a free agent. However, he may decide the best thing for him to do is to test the open market and see if another team offers him more money. If he does hit that open market, Cleveland should make a strong push to make him their starting pass rusher opposite their star Myles Garrett.
