Cleveland Browns move No. 2: Use the 13th overall pick to select a Wide Receiver

The Browns have been in need of a true No. 1 receiving threat for a while now. Originally we thought that Odell Beckham Jr would resolve that issue, but that just wasn’t the case as Beckham Jr never ended up working out in Cleveland.

Cleveland will certainly have a plethora of ways to go at 13th overall, but wide receiver needs to be on the top of that list. There are a lot of good, talented receivers who would theoretically be available where the Browns select.

One name to watch is Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson. At OSU, Wilson caught 70 passes for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns. At 6 feet tall and around 190 pounds, he offers good size and his IQ on the football field is impressive. If you want an NFL-ready guy, Wilson would certainly not disappoint.

Wilson’s teammate Chris Olave is yet another Buckeye receiver who is ready to take on the NFL. Olave stands at 6 foot 1 and weighs in at about 190 pounds. Last season he hauled in 65 catches for 936 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has good height and good speed which makes him another solid option for Cleveland.

An intriguing option for the Browns is Arkansas wideout Treylon Burks. Burks is a young player with sky-high potential. He stands at an astounding 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs in at around 225 pounds. He would be a huge target for Baker Mayfield and would be the perfect perimeter threat that Cleveland needs.

While drafting other positions like a defensive lineman in this spot also cannot be ruled out, a wide receiver seems as if it will be the likely pick.
