The Cleveland Browns need help in the wide receiver room next season. They’ll have a chance to scout several at the Senior Bowl on Saturday.

The wide receiver room for the Cleveland Browns has not been the best part of the team over the last several years despite names like Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. on the roster. What was supposed to be a strength of the team has been nothing close to the hype and too many opportunities given to this part of the team have been failures.

From receivers dropping passes to running routes inaccurately, the Browns are now left with the chore of trying to improve this group and hopefully help get the receivers to produce more for the team and get back to the playoffs next season.

The annual Senior Bowl will be played Saturday down in Mobile, Alabama. This game will showcase many talented wide receivers that will be in the NFL next season. Who do the Browns focus on and possibly draft?

Cleveland holds the No. 13 pick in the NFL draft coming up in late April. There is a belief that they will target a receiver at that spot. Several players like Garrett Wilson from Ohio State, Drake London out of USC, and Treylon Burke from Arkansas will potentially be there to draft early. But the Browns also have eight picks in this draft including one in the second round and two in the third round.

We’ll take a look at several of these other receivers that are practicing this week down at the Senior Bowl and are making names for themselves as they are already impressing NFL scouts. The Browns might pick up two or three wide receivers during the draft. That would be a shift from what we’ve seen the team do in past drafts, but it might be necessary considering it’s an area of need.
