The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new head coach and could look to make some moves. If so, the Cleveland Browns should call on these three players.

Whenever a team changes out its regime, players become available. That could be the case for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are once again replacing their head coach and have a fairly new general manager.

Trent Baalke took over at the end of 2020 and now brings in Doug Pederson as their head coach. A former Super Bowl winner, Pederson will have his work cut out for him as he looks to get the Jags out of the gutter.

And in an effort to rebuild this team, they could be looking to make some moves to acquire draft picks or shed talent. If that’s the case, the Cleveland Browns should call about these three guys.

Cleveland Browns trade target No. 3: Dawuane Smoot, DE

There’s a chance the Jags take Kayvon Thibodeaux or Aidan Hutchinson first overall in the upcoming draft and if they do, that could mean that someone such as Dawuane Smoot could be available.

Smoot was a former third-round pick out of Illinois in 2017 and developed into a solid rotational pass rusher. He had no sacks in his first two seasons but has put up at least 5.5 in each of the past three years with 17.5 total.

He could provide a possible starter across from Myles Garrett but also would be a welcome addition behind the starters should Cleveland bring back Jadeveon Clowney. IN whatever role they have for him, Smoot would prove to be a valuable piece to an improving defensive line.
