Landry Potential Landing Spot No. 2 – Green Bay Packers

Get ready for talks to heat up about the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodger’s future. Last year the Packers said they’d be willing to move on in 2022, but we all know that was just a ploy and they will be all in to keep him for the long-term.

A guy like Jarvis Landry isn’t going to go there and be a star, but if he was willing to take a huge pay cut, he may be a guy that helps keep Rodgers around. The team could re-sign Davante Adams, draft a receiver early, and then bring a guy like Landry in to play the slot in three-wide receiver sets.

Landry isn’t going to be a 1,000-yard guy, but he could be a dependable third-down guy who excels because of the accuracy of Rodgers. Landry has fantastic hands, he just struggles to get open at times, which Rodgers can help with.

The two big questions for me are, will Landry take a $3-4 million one-year deal to make this work? And two, will Rodgers and him even get along? They both have big personalities and I could see it ending in disaster unless they win a lot of games which is certainly possible.

The Packers are certainly contenders each year for a Super Bowl, but I’m also not sold they will be anywhere close to favorites.
