Landry Potential Landing Spot No. 1 – Kansas City Chiefs

The last team that could make a lot of sense is the Kansas City Chiefs. After back-to-back seasons of not winning a Super Bowl, I expect them to be active in the free agency market.

Now, they won’t have a ton of money to spend, but a guy like Landry could be highly motivated to sign for less to chase down his ring. This would be a similar strategy his friend, Odell Beckham used in 2021 and was extremely successful in winning a tile with the L.A. Rams.

Landry isn’t going to be a guy that goes and challenges Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce for touches, but at the right price, he could certainly add some value. With a guy who has precise accuracy like Patrick Mahomes, some of his issues of getting open and Baker Mayfield not being able to stick the ball will go away.

Remember, Andy Reid loves trick plays and Landry loves every opportunity to get his hands on the football. He could be used for double passes as well as a decoy for reverses and change of direction plays.

His opportunity to get paid could be even less with the Chiefs, but his chances at winning a title would be much greater.

Let’s not forget, the Chiefs love taking some of these risks as well.  They had no fear of bringing in a guy like Josh Gordon just to see if he had anything left in the tank.
