The Cleveland Browns need to re-tool their offense and that’s exactly what happens in this 7-round mock draft where only offensive players are selected

It’s mock draft season, which means we will all see several predictions, guesses, and absolute wishes in regards to what the Cleveland Browns will be doing this spring when they add rookies via the 2022 NFL Draft.

Here, we decide it’s time to mix things up just a bit and change the rules. Instead of taking the best player in every round, this Browns mock draft takes the best offensive player available to them at each pick.

Considering the issues they had on offense, chances are high they will be focusing on that side of the ball a lot, so let’s get used to seeing some of the following names, starting with an impressive wideout from the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Cleveland Browns Round 1 Pick: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Even without these “offense only” rules, it feels like a wideout at No. 13 is a certainty for the Browns. Some names to watch include two Ohio State stars in Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave — and with many Cleveland fans being Buckeye’s fans, these are the names they will want to hear.

However, there’s another kid who used to be on the same roster as these studs that could make the cut, Jameson Williams. Originally a member of Ohio State, Williams headed to Alabama in 2021 and absolutely blew up.

The only question with him is his health as Williams tore his ACL in the National Championship Game. Still, if he looks as though he could be ready by Week 1 — or at least within the first couple of weeks — he could be the best fit.
