Prospects can significantly raise or decline their stock at the 2022 NFL Combine and the Cleveland Browns should monitor these four high flyers.

With the 2022 NFL Combine just one week away, Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns entire front office will be busy evaluating personnel and preparing their draft board. It’s not just about judging talent properly in the draft, it’s knowing if a guy will even be available.

Not only does Berry need to have a plan a for each draft pick, but you must also have a plan B, C, and even D in case “your guy” just isn’t there.

After years of guys like Brandon Weeden, Johnny Manziel, Trent Richardson, Justin Gilbert, and Cory Coleman being taken in the first round, the Browns have done well. Guys like Myles Garrett, David Njoku (pending free agent), Denzel Ward, and Baker Mayfield still remain on the roster and perform at a high level.

The draft used to be a day where you knew the Browns would screw something up, now there is at least hope that the organization will do some good. Here are four guys at positions the Browns may be in need of, that could blow the doors off at the combine.

2022 NFL Combine Breakout Player No. 4 – George Karlaftis, Defensive End

The monster defensive end, George Karlaftis from Purdue, brings the type of body you just don’t see as much anymore at defensive end in the NFL. He is 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, and has a great first step. He has the size to be a dominant run stopper but also has elite pass-rushing skills.

If Karlaftis can run a strong 40-yard dash, he could cement himself as a top-10 pick in the draft, or barely give the Browns a shot at No. 13. Defensive end is a huge need for the Browns but retaining Jadeveon Clowney will likely be a higher priority to begin.
