The Cleveland Browns are currently sitting at the 13th pick in the NFL Draft, but could ultimately decide to trade up to better their position.

One of the best parts of the NFL offseason is all the speculation when it comes to the NFL Draft. For the Cleveland Browns, the first-round pick will be vital for 2022 and beyond.

Picking at 13 isn’t what the Browns had hoped for heading into last season, but since this is a reality, for now, the team can be upgraded with a number of different options.

One of those options to consider is trading up to get an even better draft selection. We all know general manager Andrew Berry likes to be aggressive and doing so in this draft could benefit the future of this team for only this upcoming season, but for seasons to come.

Cleveland will likely be targeting a wide receiver with their pick at 13, but that doesn’t mean that this front office won’t trade up to make sure they get the guy they want before some other team can snatch them away.

Berry will be active in free agency and will look to fill some holes and make some upgrades at certain positions, so that will play a factor in how this organization decides to handle the draft. Even if the Browns are able to sign some veteran free agents, the draft will only give them further depth at key positions, which will be key financially for the next five years.

There are going to be a plethora of various pieces like this regarding the draft and there will be a plethora of different takes. That’s the beauty and most fun part of all of this. None of us truly know what will happen over the next two-to-three months, but it will surely be a good time for everyone who speculates.
