Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns raise season ticket prices
By Jacob Roach
Cleveland Browns season ticket holders were informed Wednesday that the team would be again raising the price of season tickets despite losing record
After the messy day on social media that was Tuesday, with the Jarvis Landry tweets, things were a little quieter on Wednesday. The Cleveland Browns seemed to have taken advantage of this time to try and sneak by informing fans that they would be again raising season ticket prices.
Fans did not take too kindly to this after the disappointing 8-9 finish the team had during the 2021 NFL season. Many fans voiced their disdain on social media at the team raising the prices again without any real justification based on results on the field.
This increase in price marks the fifth time in the last 14 years that the organization has had despite only having two winning seasons and one playoff appearance during that time. Fans would have been a lot more accepting of this increase if the team had put a better product on the field.
That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Cleveland Browns season ticket prices are going up again
"“The Browns pointed out that for the last three years they have sold out their season ticket capacity and have a wait list of more than 7,500 for the upcoming season. Season tickets start at $55, which the team says is a $5 increase from last year. Reportedly, 50 percent of all non-club and premium season ticket seats are only increasing by up to $10.”"
The important thing to note is that the increase for at least half of the seats isn’t a significant one. Though it is also interesting that they note how big the waiting list and demand is while also increasing the price, an interesting move by the organization.
Ex-Browns QB taken in top 10 of USFL Draft
"“Kyle Lauletta spent a hot minute with the Cleveland Browns last season and won’t be coming back any time soon after he was selected by the Pittsburgh Maulers with the No. 7 overall pick in the inaugural USFL draft on February 22.”"
The new USFL had their draft and former Browns quarterback Kyle Lauletta was drafted to go to Pittsburgh. Another attempt to make a league potentially rival the NFL has begun and will be around to keep us entertained until the NFL returns in the fall. Lauletta had a great preseason in 2021 and now gets another shot at impressing an NFL team.
