With the 2022 NFL scouting combine set to start next week in Indianapolis, here is one last pre-testing 7-round Cleveland Browns mock draft

We are less than a week away from the next step of the NFL draft process and the offseason really kicking off. Next week we will see loads of NFL draft hopefuls travel to Indianapolis for the scouting combine and we will get better looks at this year’s prospects. This is also when tons of teams meet with players’ agents and in turn player movement starts to happen.

Teams will begin to really work on extensions, restructures, and trade proposals helping the draft picture take better shape. Fans will have better ideas of the team’s needs and wants based on the next couple of weeks. Let’s take one last look before any player movement on how the Cleveland Browns 2022 NFL draft may turn out.

For this mock draft, I will be using the simulator over at the Draft Network, whose board is different than the board I used last time.

Browns mock draft Round 1 pick No. 13- David Ojabo, EDGE Michigan

There’s a lot of buzz about the Browns taking a wide receiver in round one and with good reason because of how bad the group was last year. This class is also one of the deepest classes with tons of talent at receiver that can be found later in the draft. Even if the Browns resign Jadeveon Clowney there is next to no depth at this position for this reason if he falls they should consider David Ojabo from Michigan.

Ojabo is a 6-foot-5 250 pound prospect that has great athletism and explosion off the line of scrimmage. One of his best attributes is how he attacks the ball when going after the quarterback. He is a strip-sack artist that is always targeting the ball during his rush and forced five fumbles this year and was close to causing several more.

Ojabo does come with just one year of college production that may make some hesitate but the tape from this past season is impressive. Coming to a place like Cleveland where he would be the number two or three option would be beneficial. This is a young prospect that hasn’t been playing football long and should only get better with time.
