Cleveland Browns: 3 trade targets from Denver Broncos ahead of 2022

Cleveland Browns trade target from Denver No. 2: K.J. Hamler, WR
We heard it all season, the Cleveland Browns wide receiving corps couldn’t stretch the field. They hoped Odell Beckham, Jr. would do so but we all know what happened there ‚— and there’s no need to re-visit that. There was also Anthony Schwartz who hauled in a 44-yarder in Week 1 but was inconsistent after that.
In the end, Donovon Peoples-Jones became their most dangerous weapon and while he continues to improve, there’s still a call for more speed in the receiving room. That’s where K.J. Hamler could come in.
Denver took Hamler in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, right after taking fellow wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in the first. They joined a roster that already has Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick, which is why Hamler ended up with just 30 receptions for 381 yards in his first season.
As for year two, he ended up with just five receptions for 74 yards before tearing his ACL. While he was out, the Broncos extended Patrick which means they could be willing to move on from Hamler.
If so, the Browns would be happy to give a kid who has 4.3 speed a chance, especially when you realize he also has experience as a return man. Hamler is a player who can flip the field in a hurry and is dazzling after the catch, making him a player to covet.
