Sunday is the final day of the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine and the Cleveland Browns should be paying attention to these three prospects

The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine is about to end and the Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL will have a lot to think about following all the workouts.

Still, there’s one more day left as the defensive backs take the field on Sunday. Cleveland might not seem to have a major need in the secondary, but with Ronnie Harrison and M.J. Stewart hitting free agency, they might need to add some depth.

Here are three prospects for them to keep an eye on as they watch the prospects on day four.

Cleveland Browns scouting combine prospect to watch No. 3: Nick Cross, S, Maryland

One safety who could help the Cleveland Browns replace Ronnie Harrison as a bit of a strong safety type is Nick Cross from Maryland. He’s been called an enforcer in the secondary who had 66 tackles and three picks in 2021 — which was his best campaign with the Terps. He came into the combine standing 6-foot-1 and 215-pounds and while he’s considered a day-three prospect, he could increase his stock with a solid workout on Sunday.

Cross has shown good coverage skills as well, especially when it comes to keeping up with tight ends. Still, his claim to fame is going to be the way he goes after the ball carrier with reckless abandon. That’s something Harrison did in 2020 that endeared him to fans and Cross could also become a favorite in no time.
