Jarvis Landry came to the Browns after 0-16 and was the part of the group that helped them become relevant, he has now been released after 4 seasons.

Legal tampering has kicked off in the NFL and the Cleveland Browns have released their veteran wide receiver Jarvis Landry to clear up cap room. After the Browns acquired wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cowboys this felt like a move that was coming.

Jarvis Landry was a professional for the majority of his time in Cleveland and seemed to give his all on the field even when injured. He was a voice in the locker room and took young players under his wing like rookie Anthony Schwartz last season.

This is a move that at the time puts the Browns at over 11 million under the cap and could signal a potential addition coming at receiver. Jarvis Landry should be thanked for his time in Cleveland, he did everything he was asked to do and more.

Though a lot of people, myself included, may think that his play didn’t match the contract there aren’t many in Cleveland that disliked Landry. His 4 years in Cleveland will be fondly remembered by fans who will also wish him well in his career no matter where he goes next.

Landry will have suitors going forward and still has the talent and ability to be a complementary player when the pressure of being number 1 is no longer on him. This isn’t the last the league will hear from Jarvis Landry but as his career in Cleveland comes to a close I want to say thank you, Jarvis.

dark. Next. Speed is overrated trait for Cleveland Browns wide receivers

Fans will remember his passion and fire both on and off the field, good luck in where you go next, and again, thank you.
