Cleveland Browns Free Agent Option No. 2 – D.J. Chark, Wide Receiver

After the Jacksonville Jaguars signed one of the wildest deals of the day with Christian Kirk, there is a good chance that D.J. Chark will be on the move. The Jags have the money to spend, but to think that Cooper is going to cost us $3 million more than Kirk, Andrew Berry should be charged with robbery.

There has been a lot of Allen Robinson talk in the Cleveland media, and I’ll be honest, I just don’t see it happening. Not that Robinson isn’t a great player, but he’s going to get $20 million a year likely and the Browns just got out of that situation of paying two receivers.

A guy like Chark who may cost you $10 million a year and has shown he can be a 1,000-yard receiver is the perfect fit in my opinion. With Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Chark, and a potential draft pick, this receiver room can be more than good for Baker Mayfield.

Let’s not forget, Chark is 6-foot-4, 198 pounds, and can run. I’m not saying he is an all-pro talent, but it’s safe to say his numbers are lackluster because of the disaster they call a team down in Jacksonville.

It’s fun to say that now that it’s not the story for the Browns.
