With the Cleveland Browns not having a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, we turn our attention to three options at pick No. 44 in Round 2.

For life-long fans of the Cleveland Browns, the NFL Draft has pretty much been the only highlight. With so many times of picking in the top-10, or even top five, preparing for the draft has become a way of life.

And while I don’t think the five picks that Andrew Berry gave up getting Deshaun Watson was too much, it’s certainly going to change the strategy of this organization moving forward. This roster is already loaded with talent, so keeping it around will only become more challenging each year.

With huge cap numbers in the 2023 season for Watson and Myles Garrett, it will be interesting to see if Berry is able to find a way to keep a guy like Denzel Ward around. But let’s be honest, would you rather be worried about manipulating the cap space, or not having guys worthy of being paid?

One thing is for sure, the Browns are all in to win a Super Bowl in 2022. And while they have the talent to do just that, we can’t forget that the AFC is absolutely loaded with talent, especially at quarterback. Should Watson miss the first half of the season, these playoff games will likely be in difficult environments.

After losing their next three first-round picks to the Houston Texans, the second-round picks that they do have become all that more important to hit on. This roster is sound now, but there are still a few positions of need.

Here are three guys that could make a lot of sense at pick No. 44 in the 2022 NFL Draft.
