A 7-round Cleveland Browns mock with the draft fast approaching

The 2022 NFL Draft is just 26 days away, and for the second time in four years, the Cleveland Browns are without a first-round pick. That doesn’t mean the team can’t find impact players, however, and they’ll need to, as Cleveland has big needs at wide receiver and on the defensive line.

Hopefully, those areas will be addressed with established veterans in free agency, but as things currently stand four weeks from the draft, here is a seven (six)-round mock draft that does its best to position the Browns for a Super Bowl run in 2022.

We’ll be using Pro Football Network’s simulator and trades are allowed here.

TRADE: CLE sends 2.44 and 4.118 to DAL for 2.56 and 3.66

The Browns are always looking to maximize value, and here they make a deal with the Cowboys, dropping down 12 spots in Round 2 while moving up 52 slots a bit later on.

Even so close to the actual date, draft boards are still pretty bonkers. Case in point, Skyy Moore coming in at 69 on PFN’s big board, and being available this late. In reality, it would be very surprising to see him fall to Cleveland at No. 44, and he could even make his way into the late first round.

Moore is short but stout and has great athleticism and long speed, and should be a dynamic slot target in the NFL. His quickness, short-area agility, and ability to create separation at all three levels of the field would fit perfectly in this new-look Browns offense.
