As the Cleveland Browns and Baker Mayfield prepare to split ways, here are three teams that he should be demanding a trade to currently.

If you follow the Cleveland Browns, I’m not sure there has ever been a more exciting offseason. It all started with the hype of having a healthy Baker Mayfield back. Then they finally got a weapon at wide receiver when they traded for Amari Cooper.

Finally, the real excitement started, and several reports came out that Andrew Berry and the Browns were extremely interested in Deshaun Watson even though the cost was astronomical and the pending lawsuits and uncertainty of his 2022 availability.

As soon as the Browns were announced sniffing around at the idea of trading for Watson, Mayfield started to turn sour and talked about demanding a trade. The Browns quickly responded and said they would not be trading Mayfield.

Perhaps the biggest plot twist of the offseason was when it came out that Watson had eliminated the Browns as an option, and they appeared to be out and had a disgruntled employee in Mayfield. Some started thinking Jimmy Garappolo may be the next best thing, and I even turned back to thinking Mayfield would be the starter on Week 1 for the Cleveland Browns (which still may not be crazy).

At the end of the day, the Browns did land Watson, paid him a $230 million guaranteed contract, and still have Mayfield on the roster. The trade market has gone cold on him, but I do expect things to pick up as the draft nears.

Mayfield may not have his pick anymore, but he should be demanding a trade to one of these three teams.
