Cleveland Browns forgotten player No. 3: Jordan Elliott, DT
The former Missouri defensive tackle has had a growing role in the Browns defensive plans. Originally drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft at No. 88, Jordan Elliott was coming to the Browns as a highly touted player.
In his last season with the Tigers, he recorded 44 tackles, 8.5 for losses, and 2.5 sacks. He was named to the 2nd Team All-American Team by the Associated Press. His 92.8 grade over a span of 25 games by Pro Football Weekly was considered the best amongst all defensive tackles in the draft that year.
Last season with Cleveland, he did start three games. He also recorded 26 tackles and had four quarterback hits. He was credited with more than three tackles in five games last season. His percentage of snaps increased as the season went on. He consistently played over 50 percent of the snaps since week eight of last season.
With a lot of discussion on what the Browns are going to do with their defensive line coming into this draft, Elliott is one player that will likely have a good chance at starting next season.
