After Doug Dieken retired from the Cleveland Browns radio booth it was rumored Joe Thomas could replace him, Thomas has spoken on that now.

The Cleveland Browns need a new radio partner for Doug Dieken, and Joe Thomas has said that it would be a dream job. Thomas has worked for NFL Network since his time away from football and has again been linked to joining Jim Donovan in the team’s radio booth.

Thomas talked about the job and opportunity on Friday’s Orange and Brown Podcast.

Let’s take a look at what Thomas said about the opportunity as well as some other news surrounding the Browns in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Cleveland Browns News

Joe Thomas says his ‘dream job’ would be replacing Doug Dieken as the Browns color analyst, but not now with three young children

"“Yeah, I talked to Doug, I talked to people in Cleveland, and I said, that would be my dream job,’’ he said on the Orange and Brown podcast Friday. “Unfortunately, it happens 20 weekends a year in a row and with little kids, that’s kind of the time you get to see them because they go to school during the week. And so I know that I would never be able to commit to a full schedule right now when my kids are young.’’"

So it looks like for now the idea of Thomas back talking Cleveland football each and every week calling the games may be on hold for now. As great as it would be to hear Thomas each and every week for now we will have to settle as he makes the right decision to spend more time with his children. For now, we will just have to settle for Thomas’ appearances on NFL Network.

Browns Fans Pushing For Team To Re-sign Jadeveon Clowney

"“While the Cleveland Browns front office is dragging their heels in regards to resigning former pro-bowl defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, Browns fans seem very decided on the matter. Clowney is coming off one of his best seasons in recent years, thanks in part to starring opposite Myles Garrett. The favorable pairing seems to have put new life into Clowney, as he garnered a total of nine sacks.”"

Jadeveon Clowney seemed to be a great pairing with Garrett last year, not just in the passing game but he was excellent in the running game. It would make all the seen in the world for Cleveland to keep this pairing together while also bolstering the depth and future of the position through the draft. Clowney usually takes his time signing a deal to maximize all the money he can but judging by him not signing yet the massive contract might not be out there for him.
