With the NFL Draft just weeks away, there will be all sorts of words written in regards to prospects who will best fit the Cleveland Browns.

The NFL Draft is quickly approaching and there is a ton of speculation as to what the Cleveland Browns will look to do in to further build this roster. There are going to be many pieces just like this one where someone will give you their prerogative on who the Browns should draft and when.

One of the glaring holes on the Browns roster is the wide receiver position and that is certainly an area that general manager Andrew Berry will explore in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. This year’s wide receiver class is completely loaded with talent and is very deep, which suits the Browns as they do not have a first-round pick.

Skyy Moore out of Western Michigan would be an ideal player for the Browns to draft in a couple of weeks. If we’ve learned anything from Berry’s first two drafts, it’s the fact he loves to draft younger players, which could benefit the team greatly down the road. Moore is only 21-years old and doesn’t turn 22 until September.

Moore would be able to help the Browns with his blow-away speed and playmaking ability. He put up impressive numbers in his three collegiate seasons as a Bronco. He finished the 2021 campaign with 95 receptions for 1,292 yards and 10 touchdowns. For his career, he finished with 171 catches for 4,482 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was also a two-time, All-MAC First-Team selection and also made the Second Team.

At the NFL Combine, Moore ran a 4.41 40-yard dash and had a 34.5-inch vertical jump. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound New Kensington, Pennsylvania native can beat defenders in various fashions. He has a quick first step which allows him to beat press overage by running a quick slant route or he can beat a softer coverage by outrunning the defenders. He plays mostly on the outside but can also play in the slot.

With a quarterback the caliber of Deshaun Watson throwing the ball, Moore would have a better chance of seeing success in his first career NFL season. As of right now, if he were to be drafted, he would play alongside Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Anthony Schwartz. Now, the Browns will likely continue to explore wide receiver options in free agency, especially with them reportedly being in the mix to bring back Jarvis Landry.

It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if the Browns decided to take Moore with the No. 44 pick, depending on how the draft board shakes out. Berry proved last season when he drafted Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in the second round that he can find a gem of a player.
