Cleveland Browns RB in crosshairs of Nick Chubb: Greg Pruitt

Next on the list is Greg Pruitt, not to be confused with another fantastic Browns runner in Mike Pruitt.

Greg Pruitt gained 5,496 yards in his time with Cleveland. He did that in 118 games. By my calculations by midseason next year, Chubb will be looking to overtake Pruitt. He’s only a little over 700 yards away from that mark. When that happens Chubb will then be No. 4 all-time.

Who’s No. 3?

Cleveland Browns RB in crosshairs of Nick Chubb: Mike Pruitt

The other Pruitt came to Cleveland in the mid-1970s and played on the same teams as Greg Pruitt. A double dose of Pruitt’s. Mike Pruitt is No. 3 right now with 6,540 yards. Yes, it would be a long shot, but Chubb could reach Pruitt’s position on the ladder.

It would take Chubb gaining over 1,725 yards to pass him. Considering that Chubb gained the 1,259 yards in only 14 games a year ago and in 2019, he finished with 1,494 yards the impossible isn’t so impossible.

So, the chances are very high that the current Browns running back will pass at least two great Browns running backs in Kevin Mack and Greg Pruitt. If he catches Mike Pruitt then you know Chubb will be defined as one of the greatest. But all Nick Chubb wants to do is win the game and that has kept him grounded his whole career.

Next. 3 Current Browns you may have forgotten about. dark

That quiet greatness is what makes him the heart and soul of this current team and what will make him a Browns legend we will be talking about 50 years from now.
