The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including WWE superstar The Miz representing the team at the 2022 NFL Draft
With the 2022 NFL Draft less than a week away now, there’s plenty of excitement about the event — and that excitement has remained high even with the Cleveland Browns not possessing a pick in Round 1.
Even without that selection, this team is set to be well represented as it became known on Thursday that WWE superstar The Miz — a Parma native — will be representing the Browns on draft night.
That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.
Cleveland Browns News
"“WWE has revealed to cleveland.com that wrestling superstar and Parma, Ohio native Mike “The Miz” Mizanin will serve as an official celebrity representative for the Browns at the draft.”"
It’s not completely clear what a celebrity representative will do for a team but chances are The Miz will be announcing at least one pick. A native of Ohio, he has always been a supporter of the team and now gets to take part in the biggest event of the offseason.
"“Edge rusher and wide receiver are the two biggest needs on the team. But defensive tackle is also one to keep an eye on”"
Bielik is correct in saying the Browns need to keep an eye on defensive tackles in this draft. Right now, they’re pretty thin at the position with Jordan Elliott, Tommy Togiai, Taven Bryan, and Sheldon Day as their top four players. With that being the case, he looks at five different D-tackles who could be on the team’s radar during the second night of the draft.
Moves for players such as Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper will always get the headlines but Jacob Roach explains how the move to add Sheldon Day is a sneaky good move for Cleveland as they added some much-needed depth to the interior of their defensive line.
John Suchan knows the Browns need help at wide receiver and he has four names to watch as potential fits for Cleveland at No 44 overall.
