There will be players in the NFL Draft next week that will fall down draft boards and the Cleveland Browns will likely have a few players to pick from

The week leading up to the NFL draft can be a crazy week where players are being moved up and down draft boards by various media sources for the sheer joy of creating entertainment and talking points. It gives the fans more to talk and debate about, however.

By the time the actual draft starts, many of the guesses we all were making go away and we are left many times saying to ourselves “well I wasn’t expecting that,” or “didn’t have that player going that high in the draft.” And of course, “wow, that player is still out there and why’s he dropping?”

There will be plenty of ups and downs and predictions go south once the actual draft happens beginning next Thursday in Las Vegas. For the Cleveland Browns, who have their first pick in the second round at No. 44, there will be those players that we all thought were guaranteed a spot in the first round that will start to tumble for a variety of reasons.

Stories from players’ past start popping up or maybe the player doesn’t fit into the mold of a typical athlete at whatever position they play. These star athletes may have had a surgery or two that NFL scouts didn’t discover till very recently or maybe the player didn’t do so well at things like the NFL Combine or the Senior Bowl.

Or in some cases, these athletes suffer injuries or discover new medical conditions that will have NFL teams running for the hills. That’s where a team like the Browns could very likely have some of these first-round talented players drop to them at No. 44 or even beyond. Cleveland also holds picks No. 78 and 99 at the moment and some of these athletes could be available at that point as well.

Let’s take a look at three players that could very well drop in the Browns lap.
