No, the Cleveland Browns don’t have a first-round pick but they still have some intrigue heading into the 2022 NFL Draft.
Right now, Cleveland still has Baker Mayfield under contract, which was unexpected when they traded for Deshaun Watson. For whatever reason, the market for him is ice cold right now but that could change during the draft.
Despite this being considered a weak class for quarterbacks, some team is likely waiting to see if they get a rookie they like as much as Mayfield. If they don’t land that player in Round 1, they could suddenly decide to play ball with the Browns.
